This kitchen was outdated with oak cabinets and aging appliances. Instead of replacing the cabinets, which were in great working condition, we refinished them. I used a taupe with a cherry stain to bring out the edges of the "gently" worn look. Topped the finish with a Van Dyke Brown glaze to tie in the new granite and stainless steel appliances.
